Winston Needs a Home

About Winston

PLEASE NOTE: WINSTON IS NOT WITH STAFFIE AND STRAY RESCUE, WE ARE HELPING HIM FIND A NEW FAMILY. HE IS WITH HOME COUNTIES BOXER RESCUE. SEE INFORMATION AND CONTACT DETAILS BELOW.
Winston is a lovely boy who was handed as a stray.  We suspect that he is about 3-4 years old, but we have no history for him and he didn’t even have a name.

Since he has been with us he has been vaccinated, put on some weight and been neutered.  He has been in kennels for 5 months now and the kennel staff say he is a super friendly boy.  He’s had regular training sessions to help with his lead walking, and also to give him something to keep his mind occupied.

He needs a home where someone is prepared to teach him about boundaries and that he cannot demand attention all the time – he’s a strong boy and he can be very determined if he wants your attention.  He will need to continue with his training, but he doesn’t appear to be reactive to other dogs.  He hasn’t been tested around cats.

He is a good natured boy and was very gentle with children when he was initially in one of our foster homes, so we would consider dog-savvy children over 8 years of age.

If you are interested in Winston and would like to know more about him, please contact Karen via email karen.kerby@hcbw.org.uk or on 07712 669707 )
A satisfactory home-check will need to be done (unless we have done one recently) and you will need to be able to travel to meet him.  Winston is currently in kennels near Worcester.
