Trooper Needs a Home

About Trooper

My Name Is… Trooper

I Am… 1 Year Old

Can I be rehomed with other dogs? No

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Under Assessments

I am looking for… A foster or forever home

MY HISTORY

Trooper has come from a loving home however, due to behavioural issues his previous home were unable to address and resolve, he is looking for a new home through SSR.

ABOUT TROOPER

Trooper is a young male with a cleft lip.

He can be left for short, reasonable periods of time and is used to sleeping in a crate at night. Being just a young male, he does have the occasional accident in the home sometimes.

Trooper is currently on his way to SSR. We understand that he doesn’t walk too well on the lead and is anxious when out on walks and fearful of cars, bikes etc. He has exercised mostly in the garden prior to arriving at SSR due to his previous owner stuggling to address this issue.

We are looking for a foster/forever home who are experienced dog owners and willing to put in extra work and training. Trooper will make a fantastic companion with the right guidance.

Trooper is currently under assessments, more information to follow.

MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS

Trooper is ok with other dogs when out on walks, but he would not like to share his home with another dog. Assessments are continuing.

TYPE OF HOME NEEDED

Pending assessments, I am looking for:

  • A pet free home
  • An adult only home
  • A dog experienced home
  • A home willing to put in the extra work and training

If you would like to foster/adopt Trooper. please ensure that you are eligible to apply following our rehoming guidelines. Application forms can be downloaded on our website and returned to staffiesrescue@gmail.com

Home checks, Vet checks and Adoption fees apply.

Help us find Trooper a home!

Do you have a home for Trooper?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
