Trevor Needs a Home

About Trevor

My Name is… Trevor (Affectionately known as Tripp)

I am…  9 Years old – No date of birth but his microchip states that he was born in 2011

I come from… The Pound

I am…  A Staffie Cross

Can I be rehomed with dogs? No

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Yes, over 12 years

I am looking for… A forever home

Trevor  was found abandoned in a park was picked up as a stray and taken to the pound, due to this we have no history on him. He is now looking a new forever home. He arrived very underweight. He has arrived in one of our foster homes where they are building up his health and weight.

Trevor is a very sweet and loving boy, everyone who meets him falls in love with him!

He loves being in the garden and his favourite toys are tennis balls, in particular giant ones!

He can be left for a reasonable amount of time as long as he has a sofa to snooze on. Occasionally makes a fuss when his foster mum leaves but soon settles.

When out and about on walks, Trevor walks well on a harness, which is has taken some time getting used to.

Trevor’s does have some fears being around his head, neck and shoulders, hence the getting used to wearing a harness.  He doesn’t like cuddles with arms put around him. We can only assume  that he has had previous trauma to do with around his head, neck and shoulders.  He only allows smoothing around these areas for a small amount of time. His trust increases with people he gets to know over a longer period of time.
He has a real dislike of cylindrical objects e.g: hoover tubes, wrapping paper tubes, ironing board.
Poor Trevor has had a sad life in his past and he deserves a loving home. He is complexities like many of our rescue dogs, but he really is a loving chap and the perfect house guest! We are looking for a special home who can provide his happy ever after.

Trevor has had many encounters with other dogs now and most of the time just happy to keep on walking. When dogs do approach he gets excited and wants to say hello, he will occasionally pull if they are close enough to be able to see them but most of the time is happy to walk by.

Help us find Trevor a home!

Do you have a home for Trevor?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
