I am.. A Male
I am.. Approximately 2 years old
My reason for being here.. I was found as a stray
I must be.. the only pet in the home
I love… Cuddles and walks
Toby came to SSR after a phone call from the pound. He came in as a stray. His 7 days were up before SSR were able to step in and find a placement for him. Toby is a wonderful boy full of the classic
Staffie traits, he loves his cuddles, walks (even though he is very strong),
and loves to have a full blown Staffie conversation with you while he is with you, he definitely lets you know when he is being ignored.
As you can see from the photos is a very happy boy and loves to meet new people and be
around them as much as possible, as long as he gets a bum scratch you are
his best friend for life he gives so much more back.
He has been tested with a few dogs at the pound to see how he would react and he isn’t keen on being around most dogs that we showed him. He is however perfectly fine with the small spaniels in the kennel next to him so could be worked with on his socialisation. Toby is very strong on lead but is much better with a harness and is already improving with the distraction of some chicken.
Toby really is a lovely boy with so much love to give and will be the perfect family dog if given the chance.
TYPE OF THE HOME NEEDED
Toby would ideally be looking for a home with an experienced dog owner as so little is known about his past. We would like him placed in a home where children are over the age of 10 years as although he is a very friendly boy, he is big and strong.
New owners would need to be prepared to work on Toby’s lead training and socialisation. He would love to find a home to call his own!
Please contact the rescue if you are interested.
Home checks, Vet checks and Adoption fees apply.
