Taz Needs a Home

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Adult Only

I am looking for… A forever home

Taz has come from a loving home but due to unforeseen circumstances he is looking for a new home through SSR. Taz does have some more complex behaviours towards other dogs and sadly many rescues have turned him down so we are determined to find Taz the perfect forever home he deserves! He has been with us for 5 months now with no interest!

Taz is a large male looking for a home that is experienced in large breeds. He is a big hunk of love who will sleep anywhere and also thinks he is a lap dog!

Taz likes to be in close contact with people and would like a home where someone is around most of the time. He is not keen on being left but his foster home are working on this to help him find his forever home. Taz is a needy boy but such a lovable big baby.

He does like to do zoomies, but the SSR team have to brace themselves when this big friendly giant decides to sprint!

He is a slightly nervous boy and likes to get to know you in his own time (Which doesn’t take long!), but after a short period of time of getting to know him, he is so loving, just a big baby! Taz loves to pleased and responds well to training.

Taz LOVES being in the car and watching the world go by.

He is looking for a home experienced with larger breeds. Ideally, Taz’s forever home will have a reasonable sized garden due to his size. Taz loves to run around in the garden exploring and sniffing.

Sadly Taz has so far had little to no interest, we would love to see him thrive in a forever home!

Taz is reactive towards other dogs. He is strong on the lead and must be kept on lead at all times. He does walk very well on the lead when wearing a bridle.

I am looking for:

  • A pet free home
  • An adult only home
  • An experienced dog owner, preferably with larger breeds
  • A foster or forever home

Help us find Taz a home!

Do you have a home for Taz?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
