Taya Needs a Home

About Taya

My Name Is… Taya

I Am… 8 Years Old

Can I be rehomed with other dogs? No

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Adult only

I am looking for…  A  forever home

Taya was orginally from Spain. She was living on a balcony for her whole life and just used for breeding. When she was brought back to the UK and rescues, she sadly suffered from Pyometra and needed emergency surgery. It is believed that Taya suffered this as a result of excessive breeding.

Due to unforeseen circumstances in her UK home, Taya is looking for a foster/forever placement ASAP through SSR.

Taya is still very much young at heart and would love to be the centre of someone’s world.

She is great with children but would prefer a quiet, adult only home as she can get overwhelmed when there is too much going on or too many people in the home. She would be fine with visiting children.

Taya is used to sleeping on her humans bed at night!

She loves people and being close to them, she would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time.

Taya is reactive towards other dogs and cats, she must be kept on lead at all times, preferably in quieter areas where there are less dogs about. New owners must be physically fit and strong enough to handle her on lead.

I am looking for:

  • A pet free home
  • An adult only home
  • A dog experienced home

Help us find Taya a home!

Do you have a home for Taya?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
