Sophie has a new home!
With your help we found Sophie a new home.
Thank you for your support!
Sophie has come into rescue because her owner has taken ill and unfortunately will not be returning home. Sophie is currently in foster with Roxy, a Rottweiler cross Mastiff.
She could be rehomed with other dogs but not small furries. She is good off lead and enjoys running around and exploring. She also has good recall. On lead she walks well next to her human companion.
Sophie loves all human attention and can be rehomed with children. She is a real attention seeker but it really sweet in asking for attention!
She has no problems around food and is used to sharing her food and water bowl with other dogs.
Sophie does have anxiety, especially when fireworks are around. She will shake and refuse to go in the garden. She does show signs of anxiety with other loud noises such as building work.
She really enjoys being stroked and given attention. She is a very calm older lady. She loves treats and is food motivated, she knows the commands sit and stay. She will also “speak” on command and will bark louder if you ask!
Sophie has come into rescue overweight but we are working with her by increasing her exercise and managing her diet.
Sophie would do really well in a home where someone is around a lot as she is a lap dog at heart! She would ideally be suited in a home with older children so that she can enjoy a peaceful home in her golden years.
Please contact the rescue if you are interested.
Home checks, Vet checks and Adoption fees apply.
