I am looking for… A forever home
Scout has come from the pound after being found as a stray and unclaimed. We have no history on him.
Scout is a larger dog but a gentle giant who loves everyone he meets!
Scout is a very laid back boy who love to lay in the sun in the garden. He would suit a laid back home as he is not hugely active although he does enjoy his walks. Scout currently enjoys 3 walks a day lasting up to 30 minutes each time. He walks well on the lead, although is very strong as he is a larger breed.
He is used to sleeping downstairs at night, either on his own bed or on the sofa.
Scout tends not to get on the sofa when people are around and sitting on them, but he likes to make use of them when hes on his own or when no one else has claimed it!
He isn’t hugely into toys or playing games, but occasionally will enjoy playing with a ball or chewing on a bone.
Scout travels well in the car.
He knows the commands sit, paw, wait and off.
Scout can be left for short, reasonable periods of time, he likes to look out the window to watch the world go by and then takes himself off to sleep whilst waiting for his foster mum to come back!
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Scout has shown interest in other dogs, he will walk politely past and appears to want to play.

Help us find Scout a home!
Do you have a home for Scout?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
