Roxy 1’s Story
Roxy has come into rescue because her owner has taken ill and unfortunately will not be coming home.
Roxy is a Rottweiler cross Mastiff, aged 5. She currently lives with Sophie, a staffie who is also available for rehoming.
She is good with other dogs and can be rehomed with another dog. Out on walks, she loves to be off lead and bolts when the lead is taken off. She has been known to run off a few times over the years so new owners must be wary of this. When Roxy meets other dogs, she rolls on her back! On lead, she walks very well and relaxed on a loose lead.
Roxy loves to be around children and enjoys all attention from humans. She demands a lot of fuss when she meets new people.
She does have a prey-drive towards other small furries. She also barks at livestock.
She has no problems around eating and drinking, she is used to sharing her bowls with other dogs and is comfortable when people approach her whilst shes eating.
Roxy does love her treats and takes food gently from your hand. Please be aware, Roxy is overweight and we are giving her more exercise and a sensible diet to help her shed some weight.
Roxy is well socialised and has no fears around loud noises such as fireworks.
She knows commands such as sit, paw, stay, leave it and rollover.
We feel that Roxy would thrive in a family home where she can get a lot of walks and attention.
Please contact the rescue if you are interested.
