I am looking for… A forever home
Rosco has come from the pound. We have no history on him he was found as a stray.
When Rosco arrived into the care of Staffy and Stray Rescue, is was underweight but with the loving care of his foster home he is now in great shape.
He is a very lovable and cuddly boy. His foster home say that he is a real pleasure in the home. He enjoys being close to his foster family and having a good cuddle.
It is clear that Rosco has been under socialised in his past life, he will require a home who can give this young boy a lot of exercise and additional training but he is strong on the lead!
Rosco doesn’t like to be left alone for to long, so is looking for a family that will be around a lot if the time.
He cannot be rehomed with cats as he does seem to have a high prey drive when out and about on walks. He travels very well in the car.
Rosco is nicknamed The BFG and had the most wonderful nature.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Rosco is working with our behaviourist. He is quite fearful of other dogs so if faced with a situation his behaviour could go either way.
We have muzzle trained him for extra safety during his time in foster to enable us to gauge his behaviour more safely. He will walk politely past some but as yet we do not know his triggers.
He would NOT be let off the lead around other dogs.

Do you have a home for Rosco?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £180 adoption fee.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
