MY HISTORY

Due to unforeseen circumstances in the home, Rocky is looking for a new home through SSR. Rocky has been with his current owner since the age of 4 months, however sadly he was passed around a lot prior to this.

ABOUT ROCKY

Rocky is a typical lively and boisterous Staffie with bundles of energy. He is not always aware of his size and strength! He gets particularly excitable around visitors as he wants to get all the fuss and attention.  He could live with children over 10 years, but children in the home must be used to bouncy dogs.

In his current home, Rocky is used to having the full run of the downstairs and sleeps in his own dog bed or on the sofa.

He is used to being left for short, reasonable periods of time and is fully house trained. Rocky also travels well in the car.

Rocky loves to play fetch with a ball and in the evening snoozing in his bed. He will snuggle under blankets and is tucked in at night by his current mum!

He doesn’t like the vets and is very distressed like many dogs. Rocky a few years ago did have his tail partly amputated due to an injury and has been very anxious of the vets ever since.

Rocky is treat oriented and loves playing with water from the hose pipe in the summer. He loves having lots of cuddles and his favourite treats are apples, strawberries, blueberries and bananas! He takes treats gently. Rocky also loves to play ball!

When out on walks, Rocky is very strong on the lead and would benefit from extra lead training. He would love an active family home who an provide him with lots of exercise.

Rocky would also prefer a quieter household as he gets  anxious when there is lots of noise such as shouting etc.

MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS

Rocky will ignore most dogs and is generally curious, polite towards other dogs and will usually have a sniff and move on. He prefers dogs not to run up into his personal space and he can be slightly more reactive towards smaller dogs, current encounters with smaller dogs are currently avoided.

Rocky will chase cats and birds.

He enjoys off lead time in private and secure areas where he can run around with his ball.
