My Name is… Rocco
I am… 15 Months -DOB June 2019
Can I be rehomed with dogs? No
Can I be rehomed with cats? No
Can I be rehomed with children? Yes, 6 and over
I am looking for… A forever home.
Rocco has already been in 4 different homes in his short life so far. The home he has just come from was a home who purchased him privately during lockdown but then he was being left for 15 hours a day when the home returned to work! Rocco is now safely under the care of SSR and we can now find him his forever home!
Rocco is very affectionate. He Loves to play with his rope and ball and is learning to bring it back, He sits, lays down and gives you his paw although sometimes decides he’s going to be a little stubborn about it all the whole constantly wagging his tail.
Rocco will sleep happily on his bed in the hallway as long as he knows your near.
Rocco is very good with kids. He’s IS strong and has these bursts of energy in the garden where he runs and runs.
Rocco will need some one wiling to continue his training, his recall will also need some work !
Overall a wonderful dog if you can get him over his anxiety of not being near you . He would suit a family who can handle him and are around most/all of the time. He does get a lot of attention too as he really is a good looking dog.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
He is very good around other dogs, never barks even when being barked at, However please consider Rocco is still young and will require further socialisation and training.
TYPE OF HOME NEEDED
- I am looking for a pet free home
- I am looking for a home where children are at least 6 years of age
- I am looking for a home where someone is around most of the time
- I am looking for a home where you will continue my training and socialisation.

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £180 adoption fee.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
