Rebel arrived on the rescue scene after he was given away on a train! He was residing in a very temporary placement with another rescues, but after some plea’s for help, SSR were able to step in an offer Rebel a foster home.
Rebel is very good in the home and is house trained. He loves being with people! He ha recently had surgery on his eyes to treat a condition but he has recovered very well in his foster home.
He is a HUGE dog but really a gentle giant. He will be looking for a home experienced with larger breeds.
Rebel always falls asleep with a comforter in his mouth like a blanket or a cushion. He fell asleep on in the car when he arrived with SSR and also snoozed with a comforter just a few hours after arriving in his foster home!
Our Rebs has started to show his cheeky nature as he has settled in, he enjoys taking shoes away in order to start up a game and get lots of attention!
He sleeps in his own bed at night with no issues.
Rebel can be left for reasonable periods of time, he enjoys listening to Classic FM whilst you are out!
He loves his walks and cuddles, he also thinks he is a tiny lap dog!
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Rebel is OK with some dogs but is reactive to dogs that are reactive towards him or other dogs with a similar disposition, however he does get along with some. Further assessments to continue.

Help us find Rebel a home!
Do you have a home for Rebel?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
