My Name Is… Poppy
I Am… Approximately aged 3-4 Years – DOB TBC
Can I be rehomed with other dogs? No
Can I be rehomed with cats? No
Can I be rehomed with children? Under Assessments
I are looking for… A foster or forever home
Poppy has come from a loving home but are looking for a new home due to unforeseen circumstances. She is arriving with her brother Branch, however, due to issues with sharing toys they are now looking to be rehomed seperately. This will be Poppy’s third home. She was rehomed firstly after being purchased as a birthday gift for a young child and then sold when the child got bored.
Poppy is a lady who knows what she wants! She is a large breed and can be quite boisterous especially when meeting new people, for example, if someone knocks on the door. However, she does settle shortly after initial excitement. Generally in the home she is quite calm and chilled out.
She is used to sleeping on the sofa at night.
Poppy knows basic commands such as sit and paw.
She does have a sensitive tummy and we have been advised that Poppy is currently being fed on Dr Johns Chicken and Rice which works for her diet.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Poppy is OK with the majority of dogs when out on walks, but does bark and react towards smaller dogs. She is strong on the lead.
TYPE OF HOME NEEDED
I am looking for:
- A pet free home
- A home experienced in larger breeds

Help us find Poppy a home!
Do you have a home for Poppy?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
