Pilotes Needs a Home

About Pilotes

Sometimes, Staffie and Stray Rescue offer to help dogs from overseas because we feel that they have better chances of finding a forever home here in the UK. In Spain, Staffordshire bull terriers must be muzzled in public, regardless of temperament.

My Name Is… Pilotes

I Am… Approximately 5 years old

I Am From… Spain

Arrival Date… Currently Unknown TBC

Can I be rehomed with other dogs? No

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Adult only, pending assessments

I am looking for… A foster or forever home

Pilotes currently resides with a rescue in Spain. After being found as a stray, he has been overlooked in kennels for over a year now. Staffie and Stray Rescue have offered to assist in finding Pilotes the forever home he deserves.

Pilotes is a large male, weighing in over 30kg.

He is currently very sad and withdrawn in kennels where he has been waiting so long for a home. He is also struggling in the Spanish heat which is irritating his skin – He can’t wait to enjoy the typical cold and gloomy British weather!

Pilotes absolutely loves being with people and getting lots of fuss and attention.

Although he loves the children at the family run rescue, we would like Pilotes to be in an adult only foster home for further assessments to continue, Being in kennels for so long, it is difficult to know how he will respond to being in a home environment.

Pilotes is strong on lead and doesn’t know his size and strength!

Please check back soon for more updates and information on Pilotes arrival.

Assessments will be continued when Pilotes arrives to the UK. Pilotes is polite towards female dogs but less social towards male dogs.

Pending assessments, I am looking for:

  • A foster or forever home
  • An adult only home
  • A pet free home
  • A patient home who can help me adjust to my new home and country.

Help us find Pilotes a home!

Do you have a home for Pilotes?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
