My Name Is… Peggy
I Am… 7 Years Old
I Am… A Tri-paw
Can I be rehomed with other dogs? No
Can I be rehomed with cats? No
Can I be rehomed with children? Under assessments
I am looking for… A foster or forever home
Peggy has been in a well loved home for her whole life. Sadly due to unforeseen circumstances, she is looking for a new home through SSR.
Peggy is a tri-paw and is looking for a home who can accept her disability. Having only three legs does not stop her from being a bouncy and excitable Staffie! She can run really fast but sometimes can fall to the ground as she’s missing a front brake!
Peggy would benefit from a home who can provide her with frequent shorter walks rather than a long one as she tires easily. She wears a halti and a harness out on walks.
She knows basic commands and is a quick learner.
Peggy isn’t destructive in the home, unless of course its her own toys she is shredding! She may also try and raid the bin if given the opportunity! All classic Staffie traits!
She is a very loving dog and loves to cuddle up with you on the sofa. Peggy is used to sleeping on the bed at night and is allowed on furniture.
Peggy can manage going up an down the stairs no problem but this could change as she ages.
She is missing one tooth which has always been missing which is nothing to worry about.
Peggy is allowed the full run of downstairs when she is home alone and is left with the radio on. She is used to being left for short, reasonable periods of time.
She is currently being assessed whether she can be rehomed with children. She is great with people and children alike, however due to her bouncy nature she will probably be looking for a home where children are at least 10-12 years. Please keep an eye on the website for updates.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Peggy is reactive towards other dogs and is kept on lead at all times
TYPE OF HOME NEEDED
Pending assessments, I am looking for:
- A pet free home
- An adult only home (if placed whilst assessments are continuing)
- A home who doesn’t mind a dog who is not social with others
- A home who can accept my disability

Do you have a home for Peggy?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
