My Name Is… Missy
I am.. 3 Years Old – Date of Birth – Oct 2017
I come from… The Pound
Can I be rehomed with dogs? No
Can I be rehomed with cats? No, we cannot carry out cat testing on dogs from the pound.
Can I be rehomed with children? Over 12 Years – Missy is a big and bouncy girl, so children must be dog savvy.
I am looking for… A forever home
Missy has had a really tough time in her life so far. She was removed from a property by the council alongside another dog Tiger (now rehomed) as they were living in bad conditions in a garden. It is clear that Missy has had litters during this time.
Poor Missy spent quite a while in kennels whilst waiting for a foster placement. Despite this, she was so happy to see everyone in kennels and was always so well behaved.
Missy is a very beautiful girl, white with striking blue patches on her eyes. She is a big dog and sometimes forgets her size!
She is a happy, lively and giddy girl. She can be a little clumsy sometimes so she is quite a comical character to be around! She loves to say hello to everyone she meets.
Missy can be a bit of a diva, its all about Missy!
She is also a strong girl on the lead.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Missy isn’t dog friendly towards other dogs, we don’t think that she has been socialised with any other animals before except with the resident dog that she lived with in the garden prior to coming in to rescue.
TYPE OF HOME NEEDED
Missy is looking for:
- A pet free forever home
- A home where children are dog savvy and over 12 years old
- A patient and understanding home who can give Missy the time to settle into a home environment as she has probably never lived in a house before. I will also need further training going forward.

Help us find Missy a home!
Do you have a home for Missy?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
