Missy Needs a Home

About Missy

My Name Is… Missy

I am.. Approximately 5 years of age

I come from… The Pound

Can I be rehomed with dogs? No

Can I be rehomed with cats? No, we cannot carry out cat testing on dogs from the pound.

Can I be rehomed with children? Under Assessments

I am looking for… A foster or forever home

Missy has had a really tough time in her life so far. She was removed from a property by the council alongside another dog Tiger (See his profile on our website) as they were living in bad conditions in a garden. It is clear that Missy has had litters during this time.

Missy has not yet arrived with SSR but we will be updated her profile shortly.

She is a happy, lively and giddy girl. She can be a little clumsy sometimes so she is quite a comical character to be around!

She has been fine in kennels in the pound, she is probably relieved not to have to live outside anymore.

Missy isn’t dog friendly towards other dogs, we don’t think that she has been socialised with any other animals before except with the resident dog in the garden, Tiger.

Missy is looking for:

  • A pet free foster or forever home
  • An adult only home, pending assessments
  • A patient and understanding home who can give Missy the time to settle into a home environment as she has probably never lived in a house before.

Please contact the rescue if you would like to offer a home to Missy.

Help us find Missy a home!

Do you have a home for Missy?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
