Meadow Needs a Home

About Meadow

My Name Is.. Meadow

I am… 6 Years

I am… Female

I am… A Small Terrier Cross

Can I be rehomed with dogs? No

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Over 10 Years

I am looking for… A foster or forever home

Meadow has been a very well loved dog and is currently very connected to her current owner. Due to devastating circumstances, Meadow can not be looked after by her owner for much longer and she is looking for a foster or forever home.

Meadow is looking for a quiet, calm and patient home who can make her transition into a new home as easy as possible for her as it is going to turn her world upside down having to leave her current owner who she has been with her whole life.

Meadow loves to give you kisses and knows the commands paw, sit and wait.

When out and about, Meadow walks really well on lead and doesn’t pull.  She has a very gentle nature with people.

She is a very shy girl but she soon warms up to people, especially when treats are at hand! Her favourite treats are carrots, although she is not a fussy eater at all!

Meadow does have high prey drive so she cannot be rehomed with small furries, she will chase deer tracks, squirrels, foxes etc.

She can be very anxious when she is left alone, so we are looking for home who is around a lot of the time to be with Meadow. She is crate trained and is used to large crate with a big comfy bed inside. Meadow needs to be rehomed in a home where someone is around most of the time.

Meadow is still undergoing assessments, but she will bark at other dogs on walks. She is better with dogs when off lead, but due to not having recall, it will be best to keep her on lead in busy areas then progress to working with her off lead in a quiet and secure area.

I am looking for:

  • A quiet and patient home
  • A foster or forever home (foster homes must be within an hour of Bournemouth)
  • A home where children are over 10 years
  • A pet free home

Please contact the rescue if you would like to be considered to offer Meadow a home.

Help us find Meadow a home!

Do you have a home for Meadow?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
