I am looking for… A forever home
Max has come from a well loved from but due to unforeseen circumstances he is looking for a new home.
Affectionly known as Maxibon by his foster home, Max is a young male who is really playful and full of energy. He always has his foster mum laughing he is a very funny boy full of life and character!
Max is a high energy dog – From the moment you wake up he is SO excited to see you and looks forward to breakfast time and play.
He is looking for a home who can provide him with lots of walks. He will need a good long walk in the mornings where he can also play catch with his ball, after this he enjoys a snooze on the sofa until noon, when its time for walkies again! Its an absolute must that prospective new homes can provide him with the exercise that Max needs.
Being deaf certainly isn’t a limitation for Max. He is extremely attentive to his foster mum, occasionally you may have to tap his back to let him know your there, this is usually when he tries to stick his head in the recyling bin!
Max does bark a bit but most of the time this is because he is trying to tell you something. Once new owners understand him, it will be a lot easier to manage.
On sunny days, Max loves nothing more than sunbathing. His favourite game is fetch. He will find any balls in the home that are hidden away very easily.
Max’s foster mum says that Max is the most affectionate dog that she has had (and she has looked after many of our dogs!!) He loves nothing more than lying across your lap all evening and sleeping under yor arm in bed, he is like a teddy bear at night! He is also happy sleeping on the sofa though.
Max would like a home where someone is around most of the time to work on being left for short periods.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Max hasn’t lived with other dogs before, but he tends to get on well with other dogs and can be off lead with him.
Max’s foster mum says that Max is an absolute pleasure to take out on walks, he ignores other dogs and never leaves your side and just wants to play with you!
Because he is deaf, Max cannot be near any roads off lead.
TYPE OF HOME NEEDED
I am looking for:
- An adult only home, or with children 16+
- A home where someone is around most of the time
- A home who can provide me with lots of exercise
- A home who has the patience to learn to understand me

Do you have a home for Max?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
