Margo Needs a Home

About Margo

Sometimes, SSR take in dogs from overseas as we feel that they have a better chance of finding a loving home here in the UK.

My Name is… Margo

I am… 4 years old

I am… Female

I am a … Crossbreed

I have come from… Italy

Can I be rehomed with dogs? Yes

Can I be rehomed with cats? TBC

Can I be rehomed with children? Age 10+

I love… Cuddles

I am…. Looking for a foster or forever home

Poor Margo was found on the streets, afraid and starving. It was apparent that she had been used as a breeding bitch and had many litters of puppies. She was so emaciated she could not stand and needed so much love and care from the rescue in Italy.

Unfortunately after many weeks of care, it was obvious that Margo had a health issue. After X-rays and blood tests, it was found that Margo had a mass in her spleen which required emergency surgery to save her life. The operation was a success and she is well on her way to a complete recovery.

Margo is currently in Italy and she is due to arrive with us on 7th June.

We won’t know much about Margo until she arrives with us for further assessments, We do know that she gets on well with other dogs.

We have been told that Margo is an absolute joy and a very loving dog, she must be so grateful to have been saved! Margo is a large dog but a gentle giant. She is sweet natured and calm.
