MY HISTORY
Luna has been in a couple of homes in her life and is currently still living with her owner whilst waiting for a foster or forever home. She is looking for a new home due to a change in circumstances.
ABOUT LUNA
Hi, I’m Luna!
I’m a friendly girl who loves to meet new people! I can be a bit exciteable and jump up but I soon calm down.
I really enjoy my food and treats. When I am excited I don’t take food initially as I prefer to say hello!
I currently live with older children with no issues.
I am anxious around water, you won’t see me paddling in the sea or a river! I can tolerate a bath outside in the summer.
I am also very anxious of the vet, I may require some calming medication before visits. I am muzzle trained for the vets.
I can be left for short, reasonable periods of time and I am used to having free run of the house when left with no issues.
I am OK travelling in the car, at most I have travelled up to an hour.
I love to cuddle up to my humans in the evening.
I love to play and enjoy tuggy toys!

HEALTH
I am in good general health. I am not on any medication.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
I am dog reactive and can lunge and bark at other dogs. I can be strong on the lead in the presence of other dogs.
I would prefer to walk in quieter areas where my reactivity can be managed with some training, without being flooded with too many dogs all at once.
The rescue are able to support any home with further training (Preference to homes living more locally)
MY IDEAL HOME
I would love a bull breed experienced home who have some experience with reactive dogs or are willing to learn and follow training guidance.
I am a really sweet, affectionate and loving dog with anxieties being outside.

Do you have a home for Luna?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families.
We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth foster homes will be expected to drive back to our vets in Bournemouth and to meet with prospective new homes.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. (maximum 2hrs, 30 minutes for the perfect applicant willing to travel) Please DO NOT ask if we make exceptions further and look at other rescues covering your area if we do not.
A home check and a vet check is required, with a £275 adoption fee (or £425 for puppy adoption under 1 year), which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
