“A special home is needed for our lovely Lola”
My Name is… Lola
I am… 5 year’s old
I am… Female
I am a … Large Mastiff Cross
Can I be rehomed with dogs? No
Can I be rehomed with cats? No
Can I be rehomed with children? Over 12 years
I am looking for… A foster or forever home
Lola has had several homes in her young life, some which we believe have been traumatic for her. She had been used for breeding and made to live with other dogs, this had made her very anxious around other animals.
Notes from the rescue: In the right home we feel this lovely girl will blossom. We feel that a more rural home location would suit her best in an area that is less dog populated. The adopter must be physically able to handle Lola on lead and guide the way for her to show her that she doesn’t need to be so scared.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Lola is very reactive to other dogs having sadly been attacked in her previous life requiring veterinary treatment. She can sometimes walk past comfortably, but only from a reasonable distance. Other times she finds it a real struggle. As she is strong on the lead we have muzzle trained her to take precautions. She would be more than happy with just a couple of 2o minute walks for some exercise and a change of scenery in a quiet area away from other dogs and would be quite content with a nice garden.
TYPE OF HOME NEEDED
- A dog experienced home, preferably with larger breeds
- Willing to work with the rescue and with our behaviourist
- A physically strong owner who can handle dog on lead
- A pet free home
- A home where children are over 12 years old

Do you have a home for Lola?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
