Jasper Needs a Home

About Jasper

My Name Is… Jasper

I Am… 1 Year Old – DOB 03/03/21

I Am…A New Zealand Huntaway Sheepdog

Can I be rehomed with other dogs? No

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Over 8 Years

I Am Looking For… A foster or forever home

Jasper was purchased on Gumtree but very sadly he was given up again after the child in the home said that they didn’t like the dog. Poor Jasper ended up in police kennels and and is now in our kennels waiting for a foster or forever home.

Jasper has been let down several times in his young life so far. He is looking for a home who is willing to put in the extra training and work with him. He is a very energetic dog and would like a home who can provide him with lots of exercise.

He is a super intelligent and well behaved boy in need of a loving forever home. With the right input we know that he will make a great family dog and will be a hugely loving and loyal companion.

Jasper knows the commands ‘Paw’, ‘Fetch’ & ‘Leave It’

He is strong on the lead and will be in need of further training whilst out on walks.

Jasper could live with children over 8 years who are used to being around dogs.

His future foster/forever home must be willing to work closely with the rescue and our behaviourist to work on his barking around other dogs.

Japper will need further socialising with other dogs. He barks a lot at passing dogs and he doesn’t seem to really know what to do or how to behave around other dogs.

I am looking for:

  • A foster or forever home
  • A pet free home
  • I can live with children over 8 years

Please download an application form off our website and email to if you can offer Jasper a home.
