MY HISTORY
I have been a well loved dog since I was a puppy. Due to unforeseen circumstances that will be discussed with any potential applicants, I am looking for a new home.
ABOUT HUGO
Hi, I’m Hugo!
I am a very loving, loyal and affectionate boy.
I love my food and treats! Particularly long lasting chews.
I am very playful and my favourite thing to do is play ball!
I am obsessed with water and love to play with the hose and go for a paddle in the sea/rivers.
I am used to being left for short, reasonable periods of time. I have previously been crate trained.
I travel well in the car and I am used to travelling in the boot.
I am an active boy and would love to find a home who can take me on lots of adventures.
I would love to find a Shepherd experienced home, please reach out to my team if you can offer me a foster or forever home!
HEALTH
I am in good general health. I will have an additional health check prior to rehoming.
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
I have had some dog friends with a slow and gentle introduction.
I can get very frustrated on lead and show my reactivity when on the lead.
I am a strong boy and currently walk with a figure of 8 lead.
MY IDEAL FAMILY
I would love an adult only, active home who can provide me with plently of physical exercise and mental enrichment that breeds like me thrive from.
A home who is able to confidently handle me on lead.
I would prefer a medium-large sized garden due to my size and breed.

Do you have a home for Hugo?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families.
We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth foster homes will be expected to drive back to our vets in Bournemouth and to meet with prospective new homes.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. (maximum 2hrs, 30 minutes for the perfect applicant willing to travel) Please DO NOT ask if we make exceptions further and look at other rescues covering your area if we do not.
A home check and a vet check is required, with a £275 adoption fee (or £425 for puppy adoption under 1 year), which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

Please note: We only rehome within a 2.5 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
