Hannah Needs a Home

About Hannah

My Name Is… Hannah

I Am… 18 Months

I Am… A Neopolitan Mastiff

Can I be rehomed with other dogs? Possibly, with a calm and tolerant male dog

Can I be rehomed with cats? No, we cannot cat test dogs from the pound

Can I be rehomed with children? Adult Only Home

I am looking for… A  forever home

Hannah arrived from the pound with another dog, Spike. They arrived at the Pound in quite a sorry way. Both of them were suffering with cherry eye and in general had poor health as a result of lack of care and responsible dog ownership.
With an amazing support team behind these dogs wanting the very best for them, they have had surgery in early March to ease their suffering. Hannah’s was severe and it will be a few weeks until her sight improves due to all the scarring on her eyes. The photos shown here are not long after her surgery.
Spike has now been rehomed, but Hannah is still patiently waiting for her forever home.
Hannah is a young, beautiful and extremely strong Neapolitan Mastiff. She is looking for a home who is experienced in large breeds and willing to put in the extra training. She is only a young girl but is strong as an Ox,  one very large puppy!
Hannah is looking for a home who is phyiscally fit to be able to handle her out on walk. She could potentially live with a calm male dog. Several meet and greets would be required.
She can be nervous in meeting new people and likes to take her time in getting to know them. Any applicant interested in Hannah must be willing to meet on a number of occasions. A home that doesn’t have a lot of visitors would best suit Hannah.
Hannah is looking for  home who has plenty of time and patience to train her and help to set some boundaries.
She enjoys walks, and prefers a number of shorter walks each day.
In the home Hannah love to follow her humans about and would prefer to have free run of the whole house so that she can be with you. She has been known to follow her foster family into the bathroom!
Due to the amount of energy that Hannah has, we feel that she would grow into a home where there is another male dog.
Hannah is looking for an experienced home in larger dog breeds who doesn’t mind a bit of slobber and is up for the challenge of further training.
She is a very loving, beautiful dog and will make a fantastic addition and loyal companion to the right family.
Sadly Hannah has now been in a few foster homes which have not worked out, so it is vital that we find her the perfect home.
She is looking for a home as local to Bournemouth as possible due to possibly needing to continue to work with our behavioural therapist and she also gets quite poorly travelling in the car.
Hannah is dog friendly but has a lot of energy in the home and likes to have a lot of attention! She could be rehomed with a calm dog who could tolerate this.

I am looking for:

  • A dog experienced home
  • A home willing to put in the extra training
  • A home experienced in large breeds
  • I can be rehomed with children over 12 years
  • A home as local as possible to Bournemouth

Help us find Hannah a home!

Do you have a home for Hannah?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
