I am looking for… A forever home
Dillon is looking for a new home. He has been a well-loved dog but sadly is not getting on with the other resident dog, so is looking for a new home. He has severe behavioural issues which are currently being worked on.
In the home Dillon is a loving, playful dog who loves his toys and comforts. He knows basic commands and it generally very obedient. Dillon is house trained but can sometimes have little accidents when he gets over excited. This can also happen if his routine changes.
Dillon will need lots of regular exercise, especially as routine is important for him. His foster home currently provides him with 4 walks a day and he must be kept on lead at all times.
His favourite game is fetch and he will play ball for as long as he can!
Dillon is a timid dog, he can bark at people when nervous, he is a very loving, loyal and protective dog. He is a very nervous, shy boy and the outside world seems a bit overwhelming for him at the moment. He doesn’t take to people quickly and will require many meet and greets before rehoming to ensure that he is comfortable with prospective owners.
Dillon will be looking for a quiet home who can respect his needs without making life too overwhelming for him.
We will be working alongside our behavioural therapist to help build Dillon’s confidence.
He likes someone to be around most of the time, especially at night when he likes to be close. Given the opportunity he will be on the bed and curled up beside you! During the day time, Dillon does suffer from seperation anxiety so is looking for a home where someone is at home the majority of the time. He isn’t destructive but can have accidents if he isn’t walked before being left.
Dillon eats well and enjoys his treats. He can be a food pest if you let him but he is also obedient when told to stop.
Can you be the special home that Dillon is looking for?
MY TEMPERAMENT WITH OTHER DOGS
Dillon is dog reactive and will lunge if dogs come too close. He must be kept on lead at all times and we are looking into muzzle training him once he has settled with us and his anxiety eases. He will ideally be walked in areas that are less dog populated.

Do you have a home for Dillon?
We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.
We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.
We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.
If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:
Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
