Dexter is a loving, playful but very excitable and energetic young man looking for a new home. He loves to please his humans by doing tricks and will often try and get you to play with him for a cheeky game of fetch whether you’re inside or out.
When he is focused, he is very obedient dog but can be easily distracted, especially by those pesky squirrels that sometimes run along the top of our fence.
Dexter is used to being left alone for reasonable periods of time,
Dexter is a smart boy and really enjoys working out treat puzzles for tasty treats.
Dexter is still a challenge on the lead and does pull heavily. Although progress is being made, there is still a way to go though. New owners must be prepared to continue in Dexter’s training. Taking him to quiet walks with little distractions will go a long way. Dexter is OK with other dogs but doesn’t understand how to socialise yet.
Once he’s been exercised and tired out, you can look forward to an evening of cuddles and snuggles.
He’s such a loving dog, he just needs a bit of help and the right environment to help him flourish.
|Please contact the rescue if you are interested.
Home checks, Vet checks and Adoption fees apply.
