My Name is… Dexter
I am… 7 Years old
I am… A large dog
Can I be rehomed with dogs? No
Can I be rehomed with cats? No
Can I be rehomed with children? I would prefer an adult only home.
Dexter is looking for a foster or forever home. Dexter has come from two previous loving homes which sadly haven’t worked out. We are desperately looking for a home who can understand his needs.
He is a big softy and loves nothing more than spending time with his family. Either next to them on the sofa or at their feet. He loves to lie by an open fire when it’s cold outside.
Dexter is crate trained and will happily go to his crate if the door is left open. He enjoys having this as his safe place.
Although Dexter doesn’t mind to be walked, he will try to make a dash for the front door once he see’s that the walk is coming to and end and he can see the house! Due to his size Dexter has never been off the lead when out and about and he will need an experienced owner that is comfortable handling dogs.
He loves chewing paper, cardboard, super strong rubber balls and absolutely LOVES cushions. He snuggles up with them, it is adorable.
He is a very loving dog and cannot get enough cuddles and strokes.
He loves veg, and eats the ends of cucumber, carrots and cauliflower leaves and broccoli stalks. He is currently fed with Chappie, as he has a sensitive tummy and this seems to be the most suited food to him.
TYPE OF HOME NEEDED
Dexter is looking for a home where there are no children. He would benefit being in a home where children are older, from 15 years old. He likes having the attention all to himself!
Dexter’s new family will ideally be experienced dog owners who have the strength to manage him when out and about on walks.
He would suit a quiet household best where Dexter can be the centre of someone’s world.
Please contact the rescue if you are interested.
Home checks, Vet checks and Adoption fees apply.
