Cody’s Story
Cody is a loving dog. He is well house-trained and is good off the lead and on, although does pull a bit. He is 37kg (about 5.5st) so will need a owner who is physically fit and used to larger breeds.. Cody knows the basic commands, Sit, Paw, lay down, Stay, Up, Down, Off, Wait, Go get it, Come and if you howl he will howl back to you. Cody is good when left and does not destroy the home. He is approximately 8 years old.
Cody is with good with all adults and is ok with most children although he doesn’t like excitable noisy children. He’s ok with cats but if they run away he will chase them. In the past, Cody has tried to initiate play with a cat. Cody is good with medium to larger breeds of dogs and with attempt to play with them. He has been known to be apprehensive or small and noisy dogs. Cody seems to be ok with other animals like sheep, horse, cow etc.
Cody doesn’t like to swim as such but is happy in water. He can catch files and any sort of food in the air with amazing accuracy. He doesn’t like the rain or getting wet. He doesn’t have any issues with loud bangs or have firework anxiety.
Cody is very good at understanding boundaries, for example, if you tell him to keep away from a certain area of the home, he will respect the rule.
Cody does work as a door bell. He will bark at people that bang at the door but once they have been let in to the house he will go quiet.
Cody has got a touch of arthritis in his back joint although it doesn’t seem to effect him much as he can easily jump into the back a car without any issues.
