Chess’s Story
Chess was found as a stray and sadly no-one came forward to claim him. He arrived with an unregistered microchip and was very underweight and in poor condition.
He sadly spent many months in kennels with no interest in him.
Chess began to self-harm in kennels as he had had enough and started to struggle.
We were able to get him into a temporary foster home who could offer him a few weeks to get him out of kennels. After this time, we begged out colleague Sara if she might be able to foster him. Chess was a big untrained puppy and a big commitment to anyone wanting to take him on and work with him.
Sara without hesitation stepped in and also nursed Chess through having his tail amputated… TWICE!
Despite a very unlucky rescue journey with us, Chess landed on his feet when Sara and her family decided to keep him!
Sorry it took a while to get you there Chess, but have the happiest life that you deserve!
