I am… Male

I am a …  Staffie

I have come from… A loving home

Can I be rehomed with dogs? No

Will I socialise with other dogs whilst out on walks? No

Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Yes, 16 and over

I am…. Looking for a forever home

Buddy is looking for a new home. He has been a well-loved dog but sadly is looking for a new home due to unforeseen circumstances.

Buddy is an excitable and high energy dog. He loves being around people but also loves to soak up all the attention to himself if he can! He loves treats and will take food if it is left lying around, but he is on a grain free diet himself due to allergies.
He loves going to the beach for long walks and travelling in the car.
When the exercise is over, Buddy loves to sleep, but his favourite place to sleep is in his humans bed!
He has a few tricks, such as paw (left and right), sit, lay down, stay and come on command and to go to his mat or bed! He will wait with excitement when he knows it’s food o’clock and won’t eat until he’s told to do so!
He dislikes loud noises and would benefit from a quieter household.
Buddy loves to play fetch, but doesn’t like to give the ball back unless there’s something in it for him like a nice treat! Otherwise he’s is happy staying by your side and sitting in the sun! He also loves having lots of toys to play with.
He does have a touch of separation anxiety, but can be left for short periods of time, For example; for a few hours to go shopping Buddy can cope with.

Buddy doesn’t tend to get along with other dogs, he hasn’t been socialised before. He will need to be on lead at all times unless in a private and secure area. He will also need to be muzzled due to his reactivity to other dogs.

Help us find Buddy a home!

Do you have a home for Buddy?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
