I am…. Looking for a forever home

Bow is looking for a new home. She has been a well-loved dog but sadly was not getting enough time and attention until SSR were able to step in and find her a loving foster home whilst she searches for her forever home.

Bow has recently been returned after being rehomed a few months ago.

Bow is a lively and excitable sweet girl, she loves to go on long walks and she gives the best cuddles! Bow is very agile and energetic!

Bow has been with us for some time now with very little interest. She is 7 years old, but when you meet her you would think she is 2/3 years old. She has bundles of energy and fun!

Bow knows the basic commands: Sit, Paw, Lie Down, Bed. She will take treats very gently. She is perfectly toilet trained. She enjoys routine and responds well to this.

Bow is initially very quiet and shy, she just needs a little time and patience. She will require several meetings form potential adopters.

Bow Loves:

  • Lots of cuddles and snuggles, she especially likes to cosy up under blankets.
  • Going out and about on walks
  • Sitting in the sunshine
  • Kisses!

Bow doesn’t like:

  • The hoover
  • Generally any loud noises
  • Being left alone – So would prefer someone around most of the time.
  • The garden hose
  • Other dogs/animals

Bow is muzzled when out on walks as she is reactive to other dogs. She wasn’t socialised as a young dog and so seeing other animals can be quite scary for her!  Walking in quieter areas would be better suited to Bow. She will always need to be on a lead on walks.

  • I am looking for a pet free home.
  • I would like an experienced dog owner.
  • I would like to live in a home where someone is around most of the time.

Please contact the rescue if you are interested via email

Home checks, Vet checks and Adoption fees apply.

Help us find Bow a home!

Do you have a home for Bow?

We are looking for foster families and adoptive families. We do ask foster homes to be within an hour’s drive of Bournemouth as the dogs in foster use our local vets and foster homes will be required to bring the foster dog back to us for any medical treatments.

We rehome to adoptive families within a 2 hour driving radius of Bournemouth. A home check and a vet check is required, with a £200 adoption fee, which contributes partially to kennel fees, vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neutering, flea/worming treatment and other veterinary costs. This adoption fee will contribute to the care of all our dogs.

We have a thorough rehoming programme to prepare you and your dog for each other. We also offer help and support for you both in the future. Learn about responsible ownership or contact us if you have any questions.

If you are considering fostering or permanently rehoming a dog, then please print off and complete one of the forms below:

Please note: We only rehome within a 2 hour driving radius of the Bournemouth area and do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6.
