Can I be rehomed with cats? No

Can I be rehomed with children? Adult Only

I am looking for… A  forever home

We would like to introduce to you our very special boy Bernard! Bernard is a 7 year old Staffie who is looking for his forever home. He is a special boy as sadly he is blind. This does not hold him back in any way and he is very independent. It does however mean he is looking for a very special home.

Bernard is very loving, loves everyone he meets, he is food driven and knows exactly when it should be dinner time! He will even show off and speak to you when it’s “treat time”.

Bernard enjoys nothing more than to snuggle up on the sofa with you, he enjoys his short walks (sticking to the same route) but most of all cuddles and company, he can become stressed when being left so he is looking for a family who is around majority of the time. He is house trained.

Bernard has been fine with other dogs when out walking (with the right introduction) but he would prefer a pet free home. He has coped very well with his new foster home and family; and he ideally needs an open planned home so he can gather his bearings without any issues.

We are seeking a staffy experienced family, adult only, with a private enclosed garden. Bernard can be strong on the lead, so a family who would be comfortable managing this, due to his blindness he will never be able to come off the lead. He does enjoy the outside and will happily wander round the garden.

He knows to sit and paw, he just wants to please you. Bernard will bump into things; he copes very well and over time once he has his surroundings this will improve. This boy craves love, affection, routine, and boundaries, he has already had a glowing report from his foster family in a short period! Bernard is vaccinated, flea and worm treated and castrated.

He has no ongoing medical problems. Do you have the perfect home for this gorgeous boy?

If so, please complete a perfect match form  SDOM.pdf ( and return it to

Bernard is at the Surrey, Woking & District Branch
