ALFIE & JUNIORS HISTORY
These brothers have come from a very loving home but sadly due to illness in the family they are looking for a forever home.
Alfie has grown up with two cats and his brother Junior from a puppy and often snuggle together in Alfie’s bed in the winter. He loves to be loved and is a very sociable staffie. He likes human company and lots of fuss! He adores being the centre of attention and is quite happy to sit by someone’s side once he has made himself known to everyone.
He loves to go travelling and running on beaches and the countryside, and is used to staying at dog friendly places nationwide. He likes to play catch and throw and playing tug with a rope chew. He walks well on the lead after pulling a bit to start with and is used to the command “walk to heel”. He plays well with other dogs when not on the lead/harness. He also comes back when called. He used to enjoy training up until a few years ago and loved going to obedience classes. He now prefers a quieter life now he is a bit older. Alfie prefers to walk in a harness.
He is fully house trained and barks & leads you to the door when he needs to go out to the toilet.
Alfie gets upset if he is not able to mix with company indoors and he will whine and bark to get attention. He is used to being left at home for a few hours (having other animals around) and looks forward to his treat upon return. If Alfie gets too upset he has a tendency to chew the hair on his tail. He likes being groomed by any member of the family and likes his treat afterwards as well.
Alfie would love to be in a home with plenty of space to explore the outside and have company the majority of time.
Junior has grown up with two cats and his brother Alfie from a puppy and often snuggle together in Alfie’s bed in the winter. He loves to be loved and is a very sociable staffie. He likes human company but also enjoys his own company if he feels its getting a bit too noisy! He adores being the centre of attention and is quite happy to sit by someone’s side once he has made himself known to everyone.
Junior is the original couch potato and prefers his home comforts. He doesn’t like travelling and can be sick, although he enjoys regular walks to explore. He will let you know he is ready to go home by stopping and looking back towards home. He is a fair weather walker not being keen to get wet. He loves to lay in the garden in the sun. As small dogs jump up and yap at him when meeting in the park, it is better for him to remain on the lead as it can make him distressed and reactive.
Junior used to enjoy training and up until a few years ago loved going to obedience classes, where he mixed well with all the other dogs. Like most Staffies, Junior prefers to walk in a harness and walks well after pulling a bit to start with. If other dogs get too close to him on the pavement, he will occasionally jump up.

He also likes to play sit and stay for treats and if told to be “gentle” will take the treat gently from young children.
Junior would be happy with cats or dogs and older children, where he can have plenty of space to explore the outside, lay in the sun and have company the majority of time.
